📖 Storytelling 📖

How to write immersive stories:

Immersive writing is as real as it gets.

Only facts, action, and dialogue are allowed. The reader does not get access to the main character’s thoughts.

Because of this, the writing feels real.

Which stands out against most marketing copy you’ll read.

It feels real because this is what our reality is made up of — action and dialogue (we can’t read the mind of the person next to us).

This makes for a powerful story when done right.

For a great example, read Eddie Shleyner’s LinkedIn post by clicking below:

📜 Principles 📜

10 copywriting tips that will increase clicks and conversions on your website, ads, emails, and more:

Before I link you to Jeremy Moser’s 10 copywriting tips that will instantly improve your copywriting…

I want to highlight one in particular (tip #2). Jeremy calls it “Removing friction words” but you can also think about this tip in another way:

Turn your CTA (Call To Action) into a CTV (Call To Value).

After 7+ years in email marketing and over $50,000,000 in email revenue generated for e-commerce businesses, this is one of the most important copywriting lessons I’ve learned.

You can see this copywriting principle in practice throughout this newsletter:

  • “Send Me 346 Free Copywriting Tips” (instead of “Sign Up”)

  • “Help Improve Write On” (instead of “Leave A Review”)

  • “Write Immersive Stories” (instead of “Read Now”)

All of the copy in my buttons are written with value in mind for you.

That helps lead to the 21% click rates I’ve been seeing on this newsletter:

🖼 Framework 🖼

A 5-step formula to 10x your copywriting skills:

If there is one person that knows their way around a framework or template, it’s Justin Welsh.

In the thread below, Justin takes the famous PAS framework (Problem - Agitate - Solution) and puts his unique spin on it by introducing what he calls “Intrigue” and a “Positive Future.”

This framework has helped him amass over 600,000 followers across Twitter and LinkedIn. Check it out 👇
